What You Can Find at Hance Park

Hance Park is home to a growing network of cultural, historic, dining, education, entertainment, and residential destinations — offering direct access to some of Downtown Phoenix’s most iconic landmarks.

Around the 32-acre park are numerous other cultural, historic, dining, education, entertainment, and residential amenities. Throughout the year, a wide variety of special events and activities occur. It is also a perfect place to take a walk, ride a bike, play at the playground, or take your dog to the off-leash dog park.

Reservable Ramadas

Covered picnic areas available for public use and private gatherings through the City of Phoenix reservation system.

Fiesta Bowl PLAY Playground

A modern play space with animal sculptures and climbing features that inspire creativity and active play for all ages.

Margaret T. Hance Dog Park

A fully fenced, secure off-leash area where local dogs can exercise, play, and socialize safely in the heart of the city.

Sand Volleyball Court

Sand volleyball court available for public use and private gatherings through the City of Phoenix reservation system.

Through our volunteer initiatives, we provide educational programs, park clean-up sessions, and community gardening opportunities. We help corporate teams, student groups, and individual residents actively participate in preserving and beautifying our 32-acre urban oasis.

Location & Directions

The park is a short walk from the Phoenix Art Museum, Phoenix Theatre, Great American Puppet Theater, Roosevelt Row Arts District, and Arizona State University Downtown Phoenix Campus.
