We are a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming Hance Park into a vibrant urban oasis that unites the Downtown Phoenix community through culture and art.
The 32-acre Margaret T. Hance Park is located in the heart of downtown, sitting atop the Interstate-10 freeway tunnel, between 3rd Ave. and 3rd St.
Hance Park Conservancy (HPC) was founded as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 2010 to promote and advocate for the redevelopment of Margaret T. Hance Park in Downtown Phoenix. Its Board of Trustees is comprised of community, city, and business leaders committed to the mission to activate and promote the creative use of this regional public space in support of a vibrant arts and cultural experience.
HPC has been instrumental in developing the Hance Park Master Plan, and supports the fundraising effort of the Hance Park Partner Coalition to fund the implementation of the plan and foster collaborations in support of sustainability, community programming and advancement of the park.
While the Conservancy closely partners with the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department and serves on the Hance Park Master Plan Fundraising Coalition, we receive no funding from either. We rely on charitable contributions to further our specific mission.
By helping the Conservancy continue its work, you are investing in a future where Hance Park is a vibrant, urban oasis in the heart of Downtown Phoenix, known by residents and visitors far and wide.
